Painting # 1 in the Summer Trees series

I used a limit palette with bold colors and thick texture to create this painting.

The reference photo was taken in Cornersville, TN in 2023. (A very hard year for me.) I had pulled over to cry and found a strength and comfort in the setting sun and the lone tree. The sunbeam shines straight into the trunk of the tree, symbolic of the Lord empowering me.
